About SCNB
We are a little Texas Cottage Bakery with big bakery capabilities. The bakery is run from our home's second kitchen which has been outfitted with three ovens, three mixers, a commercial refrigeration unit and more . We are known for our ability to produce custom and carved cake designs in 72 hrs or less. Our goal with each project is to take ordinary baked goods and catapult them into AWESOME.
About the Cake Artist
I am AnJanette Jones. I grew up in New Orleans, so food and the arts have always been as big a part of my life as they are of the culture. Along with my husband and right hand Greg, I Co-Own Strawn Cakes and Bakes .
I learned basic cooking, candy making and baking from my mother and aunts and was a self taught cake decorator. I am forever building upon that foundation and in my quest to be a better baker, decorator and expand my overall capabilities, have obtained my Certificate of Pastry Arts from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts.
In addition to my love of all things food I am an avid crafter and use my experience sewing, sculpting, painting, sketching, paper crafting and more to take our desserts to the next level.
I am both Texas Food Handler Certified and liability insured.
